For long track sessions, 4K/120 is rarely the automatic best choice: it raises storage, processing and thermal load. 4K/60 or 4K/30 may be a more reliable starting point depending on the analysis and delivery goal.
How its telemetry path works
DJI says speed, route, direction and distance are sourced from the remote’s GPS data. G-force and tilt angle come from the camera IMU. The Mimo dashboard can add those values to video.
DJI states that individual motion-data export is not supported and data can only be added through Mimo’s dashboard. It also states that motion data from other devices cannot be imported.
Track-day limitations
- GPS depends on a charged, connected accessory.
- DJI does not publish the remote’s GNSS sample rate in the cited support material: Not officially documented.
- Slow-motion, timelapse and hyperlapse do not support the GPS dashboard workflow.
- Automatically split video chapters reset dashboard mileage for the next segment.
- Telemetry is poorly suited to open, channel-level analysis because standalone motion export is unsupported.
